February Sun Sign Profile: Aquarius (January 20-February 18)
Welcome to the Age of Aquarius! This Air Sign is all about communication. Those wavy lines that represent the sign signify not only water, but energy waves. And Aquarius rules when it comes to electronics, computers, technology, brain waves, and all other forms of communication. When did the Age of Aquarius truly begin? Probably the day almost everyone on the planet had a cell phone glued to their heads! But it’s not just about communicating. It’s about the message as well. And the message is one of equality. Only in recent years has the concept of equality and human rights come to the forefront, which is the Aquarian way.
There are two basic types of Water Bearers. There’s the more conservative Saturian type, with their detached, scientific approach to life. And then there are those wild, revolutionary Uranians, constantly finding new ways to express their nonconformity. But in either case, these interesting folks are marching to the beat of their own drummers. They won’t pigeonhole you, and refuse to let you put them in a box, either. “If you love someone, set them free” is definitely an Aquarian quote! So if you have a soft spot for one of these individualists, don’t smother them. They’ll be gone before you can blink.
So, what are these Airy beings all about? Social Networking. Aquarius rules the 11th House, which has to do with friends, groups, and associations. And this is where they shine. Although they are known for their desire for independence, they have no trouble expressing it in group settings. This is why they do so well dealing with people and ideas. But when push comes to shove, they are often more comfortable dealing with ideas. Alas, Aquarians frequently have big problems when it comes to opening up to intimacy. Think Spock on Star Trek.
Aquarius does well with other Air signs Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius, as all these signs value communication and friendship in love relationships. Fire signs Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius are a good match energetically, but Leo and Aries may find Aquarius too detached and independent for their ego needs. Aquarians enjoy the stability of Earth Signs Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn, but may get bored with routine. They can be fascinated with Water Signs Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces, but will rebel against possessive, moody behavior.

For all the Sun Signs: 2013 is underway and it will be another year of intensity and change. Uranus and Pluto continue to battle it out, testing our ability to maintain some semblance of stability while being pushed into the unknown. In Chinese Astrology, this is the Year of the Water Snake, which can be good for innovation and progress. The catch is, it will also be a year where money issues are paramount. So, apply your talents wisely and keep a watchful eye on the old bank account. The phrase “Don’t take any wooden nickels” comes to mind. So, keep all of your affairs above board, and keep an eye out for con artists. 2013 is a “6” year numerologically, which should bring about more balance and harmony, nonetheless.
Aries (March 21-April 19) Be bold and strike out in new directions. Frankly, you won’t have a choice. Change is in the air. Remember that friends will be a big help this month, so pick up the phone, get on Facebook, and connect with them.
Taurus (April 20-May 20) You may feel a little mentally weary, but don’t let that coax you into being complacent. Put energy into your career and future plans. And cut loose of situations that are bogging you down. It’s important that you don’t over-burden yourself at this time. Be patient and you will see results from your efforts next month.
Gemini (May 21-June 20 ) Lucky Jupiter is now direct in your sign, so make hay while the sun shines! This is a perfect time to take a leap of faith. If you’ve been waiting around until “the time is right,” wait no more. There is good energy all around for you to take advantage of.
Cancer (June 21-July 21) There is a high demand on your energy coming from others. Pick and choose who and what you want to spend your time on so you don’t waste your resources. Things will loosen up a lot next month, so just hang in there.
Leo (July 23-August 22) New relationships and partnerships are popping up. Make sure the people coming at you now are worth their salt. If so, much good could come from collaborations. Your love life could improve, too, if you aren’t too busy to have one.
Virgo (August 23-September 22) Sticking to your familiar routine may be your best bet right now. There is a little resistance coming your way from others. If you can simply make sure you are doing everything right, it won’t matter much. Keep your cards close to your chest. Others may wish to take advantage of you this month.
Libra (September 23-October 22) This could be a groovy month for enjoying the fun side of life. Just make sure you aren’t over-estimating your ability to pay for all that fun! But really, creative energy, romance, and lucky vibes are around you, so take advantage of it.
Scorpio (October 23-Novemeber 21) The Sun/Saturn Square isn’t exactly cutting you any slack this month. So be it. Hunker down and take care of whatever is right in front of you. Commit yourself to your tasks and be aware of issues around the home.
Sagittarius (November 22-December 21) This is a changeful time for you, Sag. Ready or not, here comes the future. Forge ahead and pay close attention to all forms of communication now. And ask a lot of questions if need be.
Capricorn (December 22-January 19) Stick to your guns regarding important money matters. Don’t buckle under the stress, and be mindful not to create any NEW stress. You will get things moving this month. It’s just going to require extra effort. Huff!
Aquarius (January 20-February 18) There will be an interesting tug between the emotional side of your life and the practical side. You can probably balance both arenas. Airy planets will open up lots of opportunities, so take advantage of them!
Pisces (February 19-March 20) The conjunction of Mars and Neptune in Pisces could bring up a little controversy. Stay centered and mindful of health. You will fare better if you take the Tai Chi approach, and just get out of your opponents way.
