July Femastrology 2020

by Astrologer and Psychic, Victoria Bearden

July begins with another game-changing eclipse. The challenges and opportunities of 2020 just keep on rolling, with yet another eclipse, stirring up our group consciousness, urging us towards evolution. Progress during 2020 has been hard won, but it is certainly not time to give up! This will get better, particularly if we work together towards common goals. This year is full of “flash-points” in a necessary breakdown that will lead to the potential of a truly positive and significant period of restructuring.

Hear the Thunder: The time period we are entering reminds me of Hexagram 51 in the I Ching: Zhen, or Shocking. Expect the unexpected. Zhen represents both thunder, and earthquakes, denoting surprising, disruptive events. At first when something startling happens, people become fearful and agitated, which can lead to chaotic and impulsive actions. But if you allow yourself to pause for a beat, the heightened awareness will allow you to act in a directed and appropriate way.

When the energy of Zhen occurs, the Universe is saying, “Wake up! Something important is happening! You need to be on top of it so you can create success out of these changes!” Events in July will continue the process of awakening that will lead us to renewal. But people will also be easily drawn into chaos, and may end up creating more chaos through their reactive behavior.

The Spiritual Seeker is wise to look within and affirm that which they know is good and true, thus creating a state of readiness for whatever might happen. We are being challenged to fight against the tendency to be rigid and dogmatic so we can truly adapt and evolve. Progress will be attained through a willingness to try out new ideas, even if they don’t easily fit into the existing structure. But resist the urge to hammer the round peg into a square hole! In my humble opinion, this is a time to aspire towards altruistic behavior and generosity of spirit instead of factionalism and destructiveness.

Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto, oh my! The world continues to reverberate from the monumental shift in consciousness precipitated by the conjunction of Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn this past January. The life-altering events that continue to unfold during 2020 are a result of centuries of “karmic” buildup. Although many of the transformations we are going through might seem harsh, there is definitely a silver-lining, if enough people raise their vibrations and push their thoughts towards the greater good for humans, and the beautiful planet we live on, and all of her beings.

There are many important developments yet to come this year, and as I like to say, remember that we are making it up as we go along, so to speak. The future is not set in stone. Astrology and spiritual wisdom give us a cosmic weather report of sorts. Then, it is up to us, collectively, and individually, to act in accordance to the higher truths that are being revealed. Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn will begin to separate this Fall, giving us a chance to break free from old patterns, once and for all. Jupiter and Saturn will align on December 21, 2020, the Solstice, giving us enormous insight and inspiration to replace outworn structures with new and progressive forms. So, get ready. We have a lot of work to do!

Mercury Goes Direct on July 12, 2020: Yippee! More clarity begins to shine in and projects are easier to get off the ground. Give it a little while to straighten out, as the days immediately preceding and following Mercury’s change of direction can be a little squirrely.

There’s a Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse at 13° Capricorn on July 4, 2020, at 9:44 pm PDT. This is the last of a series of 3 eclipses that have corresponded to dramatic and unforgettable events that have been unfolding from late May through June. The Sun in Cancer will line up with the asteroid Vesta, symbol of the divine feminine in the form of the High Priestess or Vestal Virgin. This is a profoundly sacred symbol, related to keeping the flame of truth lit, and carrying the torch of wisdom to light the path forward. Vesta is also related to the Virgen Mary, who some believe had become a priestess before she was chosen to be the mother of God.

Cancer is a water sign, related to family, nurturing, and protection of loved ones. It is a mother energy. Capricorn, the Earth Sign of this eclipse Full Moon, is the father principle. It is related to maturity, responsibility, and commitment. It is also a symbol of leadership. This Full Moon polarity can help us understand the need to balance our personal life with the outside world. It highlights the need for safety and security.

Eclipses are much more significant than regular Full and New Moons. Fate has more of a free hand and things are set in motion that often have far reaching consequences. If your birthday falls near an eclipse, you will have a significant and eventful year. This eclipse lines up with the birth chart of the USA, as unrest and challenges give rise to a new destiny. As you might imagine, there is a certain amount of drama and intensity that will accompany America’s Independence Day Eclipse. The Cancer Sun in the 7th House illuminates the US’ need for better relationships, for her people, in government, and internationally. The Capricorn Eclipse Moon lines up in the US’ 1rst House, as the nation goes through a kind of “identity crisis.”

There’s a New Moon at 28° Cancer on July 20, 2020 at 10:33 am PDT. New Moons offer a chance to reset the energy and get a start anew. This one packs a powerful punch though, as the Sun and Moon in emotional Cancer will oppose Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto in Capricorn as the day unfolds. This will “reactivate” the striking planetary energies that have be central to the massive and tumultuous changes that have been taking place during this challenging and important year. The solution to dealing with this extraordinary energy is to align with it from a centered and balanced place. Find ways to calm and focus your body, mind, spirit connection, such as Jin Shin Jyutsu or yoga. Meditation, prayer, and being close to nature will be helpful. Setting intentions or doing magic related to positive transformation will be potent on this New Moon.

The Sun Enters Leo on July 22, 2020. The fiery energy of Leo will inspire great boldness and creativity in those who are ready to rise to the occasion. Extra courage and strength will be there for those who feel called to serve. Some will feel emboldened to express egotism and self-righteousness as well.

Opportunity Days: July 1, 4, 5, 9, 10, 15, 20, 27, and 28.
