Two of the hottest names in the music scene are going to make an appearance at the biggest lesbian event in the planet of its kind: The Dinah.

Celebrity DJ Samantha Ronson and Grammy-nominated artist Elle King will be at The Dinah in Palm Springs, California on March 30-April 3, 2016.

Mariah Hanson, founder and producer of Club Skirts Dinah Shore Weekend, confirmed that The Dinah will feature one of the most respected and best-known DJs in the lesbian community: Samantha Ronson.

“Samantha Ronson is one of the premiere celebrity DJ’s, but she’s also the real deal. Our crowd is going to be blown away at her talent, energy and presence. I’ve wanted to book her for years so for me, it’s an extra bonus that I am finally able to headline her at The Dinah,” Hanson said.

Ronson had sold out clubs around the world and is regarded as celebrities’ “it” girl when it comes to putting the needle to the hottest records and keeping the beat going.

Coming from a family of artistic lineage (stepdaughter to legendary guitarist Mick Jones of Foreigner, sister to Grammy Award-winning producer Mark and twin to fashion designer Charlotte), the Venice-based Samantha has DJed for the biggest parties and clubs around the world.

Likewise, she’s worked with Stevie Wonder, Ellen DeGeneres, Nicole Richie, Natalie Portman, Jay-Z, and Lionel Richie, to name a few.

In a heavily male-dominated industry, she’s spun for MTV’s New Year’s Eve show from the network’s studios in Times Square, as well as at the Super Bowl, Pan American Games, Sundance, Cannes Film Festival, the VMA’s, and the AMA’s.

Elle King to showcase singing chops at The Dinah

On the other hand, Elle King has recently been dominating the airwaves and ruling the Billboard charts with her foot-stompin’ hit single “Exs & Ohs” from her 2015 debut album Love Stuff.

The Brooklyn-based rock, blues-pop singer also received her first Grammy nominations in two categories :“Best Rock Performance” and “Best Rock Song.”

“Ex’s & Oh’s” was recently certified platinum by the RIAA, and has topped the radio charts at #1 in 3 formats – Alternative, AAA, and Hot AC.

Likewise, “Ex’s & Oh’s” has been Top 10 on the Billboard Digital Songs Chart for the last 10 weeks, #1 on the iTunes Alternative Songs Chart for 13 weeks, #1 on the Billboard Hot Rock Songs chart for 8 weeks and #4 most viral track of 2015 on Spotify.

Her single hit at the #1 spot on Billboard’s Alternative Chart has made her the second woman in two decades to achieve that feat (the other artist being Lorde with her 2013 tune “Royals”).

Entertainment Weekly called Elle King “Rock’s New Badass,” and she has been described by The New York Times as “a sassy, hard-drinking, love-’em-and-leave-’em hellion with bad tattoos and a broad pedigree across rock, pop and country. She has Adele’s determination and Joan Jett’s stomp, Brenda Lee’s high-voiced bite and some AC/DC shriek.”

So if you want to check out some great music, head on down to The Dinah to see DJ Samantha Ronson and Elle King.
