New York’s lesbian chefs are revolutionizing the city’s culinary scene, bringing their unique perspectives and flavors to the forefront. In the wake of the #MeToo movement, their rise is a positive change for the gastronomy industry.

Hillary Sterling, the mastermind behind Ci Siamo, is leading the way with modern Italian cuisine at Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group. Her all-women team creates delectable dishes like Bistecca alla Fiorentina and handcrafted pastas. At HAGS, a queer couple, Telly Justice and Camille Lindsley, offer innovative farm-to-table vegan and omnivore menus, complemented by a selection of unique beverages.

Kopitiam takes diners on a Southeast Asian journey with authentic Malaysian flavors curated by owner Kyo Pang. The cozy and charming Michelin-starred The Musket Room, led by Executive Chef Mary Attea, offers a global adventure through contemporary American dishes.
