City of West Hollywood accepting applications for temporary summer recreation job openings
The Recreation Services Division of the City of West Hollywood is running its annual summer temporary employment recruitment. The City is looking for enthusiastic and motivated people to fill a number of positions that will support, provide, and organize aquatic and recreational programs, events, and services at the Plummer Park Community Center and West Hollywood Park Aquatic and Recreation Center (ARC).
Open positions are:
- Temporary Recreation Leader 1
- Temporary Recreation Leader 1 (Camp Counselor)
- Temporary Recreation Aide (Summer Camp)
- Temporary Lifeguard
- Temporary Aquatics Aide
The City of West Hollywood offers a variety of perks for temporary summer employees, such as flexible schedules, enjoyable and creative work environments, and compensated on-the-job training.
A required group interview will be held on March 25, 2023, for qualified candidates who apply for Temporary Recreation Leader I, Temporary Recreation Leader 1 (Camp Counselor), and Temporary Recreation Aide (Summer Camp). The group interview will include an oral individual interview and group exercises in which participants will be evaluated on their abilities in collaboration, initiative, creativity, and other areas.
The Recreation leadership team will invite qualified candidates who applied for the Temporary Lifeguard and Temporary Aquatics Aide positions to an interview. Candidates who meet the requirements for the lifeguard post will be invited to a swim proficiency test and water skills assessment. On Tuesday, April 4, 2023, the initial round of interviews and swim assessments will take place.
