February 2016 Femastrology

February begins with a big “Green Light” as Mercury is direct now. This is good news, as January was a complicated and challenging month for many of us. This will be wonderful for getting work and other projects moving. It’s almost like starting the New Year all over again. But there is also a buildup of
tension planetary tension around February 6th and 7th which could escalate conflicts and bring up some strange surprises. This will certainly make the Super Bowl a wild and exciting one!

Chinese New Year arrives with the New Moon in Aquarius on February 8, 2016. The Year of the Fire Monkey will spark lots of change and innovation. Fire
Energy always tends to make people more motivated to take risks and forge ahead. Sometimes it makes people a bit hotheaded as well. There is a nice window of opportunity on the morning of the 8th, which is favorable for tackling important tasks. Positive vibes this week will definitely make for a nicer Valentine’s Day.

The energy shifts by mid-month, with Mercury and Venus in unconventional Aquarius and the Sun moving into creative, emotional Pisces by February 19. This is an interesting combination and could help us maintain the Spirit of Compassion (Pisces) as we communicate clearly and logically (Aquarius) about important relationship issues.

There’s a Full Moon in Virgo on Monday, February 22, 2016. The Pisces/Virgo polarity of this Moon can help us to understand the true connections between our Psyche and our Physical Body. And don’t forget, 2016 is a Leap Year, so February 29, 2016 will be that “extra day” that balances out the calendar. I think it should be a holiday, right?

Opportunity Days: February 1, 6, 10, 14, 15, 16, 18, 19 and 23. These days will have a little more of the “luck” factor of everyone, so take advantage of it.
