Kodie Shane and a whole slew of performers are set to turn the 5-day Club Skirts Dinah Shore Weekend into the best summer in 2019 you’ll ever have.
As the festival that celebrates, unites, and empowers women, The Dinah will have Shane as well as Diiamon’d Royalty, Leikeli47, and several world-renowned DJs at the event in Palm Springs, California this April 3-7.
What’s more, there’s a whole range of events like massive pool parties, red carpet events, and meet-and-greet with your favorite celebrities that you can check out what’s considered the largest lesbian party in the world.
Kodie Shane to electrify The Dinah
Shane is the new, wildly-popular hip-hop talent from Atlanta making waves, especially as she has a new album, “Young HeartThrob” from Epic Records.
Her singles from the album had gotten praise from HighSnobiety, Complex, and VIBE, which proclaimed: “Shane is set to make significant noise in the industry as one of 2018’s most promising young artists.”
Meanwhile, Shane’s 2016 debut EP had the single “Sad” (feat. Lil Yachty), which garnered millions of Spotify streams.
In 2017, she created the ten-track Big Trouble Little Jupiter mixtape and the seven-track Back From The Future EP.
Because of this, Billboard tagged her as one of 2018’s biggest pop stars to watch with her tightly-wound rhymes, clever lyrics, and ear-worm melodies.
Shane has also shared the stage with Lil Yachty, Lil Uzi Vert, The Internet, Snakehips, and Billie Eilish.
Other performers to star at The Dinah
Aside form Shane, Diiamon’d Royalty will be making a first appearance at The Dinah. She’s a viral YouTube sensation with her freestyle videos hitting over 1.5 million views.
She was in the top 4 of Coast 2 Coast’s 2017 artist showcase world championship in Miami Beach with her clever rhymes and smooth delivery, and she has since then signed up with South Coast Records with a debut album, Mirrorz.
Meanwhile, mysterious artist and producer Leikeli47 will also make an appearance at The Dinah with her hypermodern music comparable to Azealia Banks, A$AP Ferg, and MIA.
Leikeli47 also made an the soundtrack for HBO’s Insecure, and she released her debut album, “Wash & Set,” last year.
“I remember starting off as a producer, really jumping in and taking a chance with my sound—it was minimal, but it still had the boom to it,” she said of her album, “Acrylic.”
Mariah Hanson and The Dinah Shore
The world-famous Dinah Shore Weekend was first started in 1991 by Mariah Hanson under her Club Skirts Marquis at the Palm Springs Modern Art Museum, which became sold out.
But the seed for this was originally started in 1988 when Hanson she created Club Skirts, a Sunday night dance club for the San Francisco/ Bay Area women.
Hanson has also done her part for LGBTQ the community, serving two terms on the Board of Equality California. She also served on the “Women’s Night” committee for the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center.
She’s also given back to her community with the San Francisco Gay and Lesbian Community Center, GLAAD, the Human Rights Campaign, and the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Community Center.
