UGLA Benefit: Carl Matthes’ 85th Birthday Piano Recital

The Uptown Girls’ Lesbian Association (UGLA) is thrilled to present a Benefit Concert by the legendary Carl Matthes, in honor of his 85th birthday. The event, organized in support of the Southwestern Youth Music Festival’s (SYMF) Festival Orchestra, promises an evening of enchanting melodies and community celebration.
Carl Matthes, a prominent figure in the music scene, will serenade the audience with his magical piano recital. This concert, held as part of SYMF’s 61st-year celebrations, is not only a showcase of musical brilliance but also an opportunity to give back to the community. Matthes has a long-standing association with SYMF, having served as its Executive Director from 1978 to 2007.
